THE OFFICIAL HOME OF THE DUBLIN CITY HURRICANES

OUR HISTORY
The Dublin City Hurricanes baseball club traces its origins to the early days of Irish baseball. In the winter of 1998, Jim Kilbride, the club's first captain, selected players for the new team at a draft event held at Bowe's pub on Fleet Street in Dublin. Mike Kindle, the first player picked, became known as the "second Hurricane." Other original members included Cormac Eklof, Tom Kelley, Gus Hernandez, Stuart Blaine, Tom O'Malley, Phil Keogh, and Tom Kerrigan. The Hurricanes were one of three newly-formed teams in Dublin, alongside the Spartans and Panthers, and joined the Belfast-based Northstars to form the 1998 league.

As one of Baseball Ireland's most successful franchises, the Hurricanes have won six National Championships and several player awards. They have also participated in European club competitions in cities like Prague, London, and Antwerp, becoming the first Irish club to compete in European baseball.
